Starting in Ushuaia, Argentina we experienced ice, cold and fog. Less than 7 days later flowers were blooming and hummingbirds were feeding. And the last five days we were hiking in T-shirts and shorts as we searched for shade on the trail. A beautiful country of contrasts in nature and welcoming people. 1900 miles of shear joy with the momories and photos to recall it.

Pictures shot during the CasualDX Ice Bears trip to Svalbard during July 2004. This is a wonderland of about 2000 glaciers, moving ice packs and a crystal clear air. The midnight sun at 10-11PM was like a summer day in the States about 3PM. Everything was so beautiful you had to force yourself to go to bed. Some days it must have been 50 degrees and even when it wasn't it never felt like winter cold does. Wildlife of birds, whales, walrus, seals, sea lions and of course the "Polar Bear."
